  4. Make sure you have your pet's official military documents with you for verification when you transport them.

Health certificate for American Airlines' Pet Policy

Within ten days of your trip, you must bring two copies of the American Airlines pet health certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian. As per American pet policy, the health certificate must have the essential details for your pets' safety and easy travel.

  1. The health travel certificate's date needs to be within ten days of the trip.

  2. Only when your pet is traveling abroad does the health certificate need to be translated into English.

  3. Pet's breed, weight, and birthdate.
